The Snake River cut through ancient basalt lava flows, forming this canyon that extends for more than fifty miles and features two major waterfalls and countless springs. This outdoor oasis has a public golf course, zip line, 10 mile paved walking path, kayak rentals, and some of the most fantastic views you cannot find anywhere else Except for Twin Falls! No wonder so many are relocating to Idaho!
The majestic Perrine Bridge spans the canyon nearly 500 feet above the Snake River near the site of famous daredevil Evel Knievel’s unsuccessful 1974 jump across the canyon. The Perrine Bridge at the entry of Twin Falls, Idaho, is popular with BASE jumpers as the only location in the U.S. open to BASE jumping year-round. The tourism industry is steady driving up the Twin Falls real estate pricing causing steady appreciation year after year.
The "Niagara of the West," standing 212 feet tall, seeing Idaho’s iconic Shoshone Falls is a must-do when visiting the Gem State. Enjoy Shoshone Falls from the viewing platforms at Shoshone Falls Park in Kimberly, or take a kayak tour from the river below to come face-to-face with this wondrous waterfall from the bottom of the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls.
Perched on the south rim of The Canyon, 486 vertical feet above the magnificent Snake River, this restaurant has some the of the best food, drinks, and views in town. My personal favorite meal in Twin Falls is the Jalapeno Glazed Quail with a Pear Martini- must try! On any given afternoon, you will see real estate agents from many offices there for happy hour talking about the Twin Falls real estate market.
Within about an hour drive of Twin Falls, Pomerelle's summit has an elevation of 8762, with 31 runs and 3 lifts. They for sure have bragging rights getting the deepest snow in Idaho, measuring over 500" of snow each winter. One of the local "secrets" is to talk about how much snow we get in the valley to stop the people relocating to Idaho!
